Acceptable use policy

What Flowstate can't be used for. It keeps your sender reputation, your customers and our service safe.

This policy is part of the Flowstate Terms of Service between you and FLOWSTATE MAIL LTD. It applies to everyone on your account, and to the emails you make with Flowstate, wherever you send them. You must not use Flowstate for any of the following.

1. Email you send

  • Email to people who haven't agreed to hear from you, or where you can't show a lawful basis to email them (for example bought, rented, scraped or harvested lists).
  • Email without a working unsubscribe link and your real postal address, or that hides who you are.
  • Misleading subject lines, fake "Re:" or "Fwd:" threads, or false urgency (countdowns that reset, "only 2 left" when that isn't true).
  • Phishing, or anything that pretends to be from another company or person.

2. Honest content

  • Fake, made-up or AI-generated reviews, testimonials, ratings, customers, endorsements, awards or statistics, or reviews quoted out of context.
  • Paid or gifted endorsements without a clear disclosure.
  • Claims you can't back up, especially health, medical, weight-loss, financial or environmental claims.
  • Realistic images of people, places or events presented as real when they aren't.

3. Products we won't help market

  • Illegal goods or services, or anything illegal where it's sold or sent.
  • Drugs and drug paraphernalia, prescription medicines without the needed licences, or products claimed to treat, cure or prevent disease.
  • Weapons, ammunition and explosives.
  • Tobacco, vapes, alcohol or cannabis products marketed to minors or in breach of local law.
  • Adult or sexually explicit content.
  • Gambling, get-rich-quick schemes, multi-level marketing, debt relief and similar regulated financial offers.
  • Hate, harassment, violence or extremism.
  • Counterfeit goods or anything that infringes someone else's rights.

4. Data and other people's rights

  • Only connect stores and Klaviyo accounts you own or are authorised to work on.
  • Don't upload special categories of personal data (health, religion, biometrics and similar) or children's data.
  • Don't use Flowstate to build profiles of people, or to collect personal data you aren't allowed to have.
  • Respect copyright and trademarks: only give us content you have the rights to.

5. The service itself

You must not:

  • break, probe or overload Flowstate, or get around its limits, rate limits or security;
  • scrape it, copy it, reverse engineer it, or use its outputs to build a competing product or train an AI model;
  • try to make our AI ignore its rules (prompt injection or jailbreaking);
  • share sign-in links or accounts outside your team, or resell Flowstate without our written agreement;
  • use it in breach of sanctions or export laws.

6. Reporting and enforcement

To report misuse, illegal content or a security problem, email team@flowstatemail.com. If you break this policy we may remove content, pause work, disconnect Klaviyo access, or suspend or close the account, as set out in the Terms. Where we can, we'll explain why and give you a chance to fix it.
